PIPEX - Taking networking around the world
==========================================
PIPEX is a commercial quality internetworking service. It is
provided on a fit-and-forget basis, and is far cheaper than a
private network. Traffic is free from restrictions and all
charges are covered by a fixed annual fee. The service
includes 24-hour support and availability.
PIPEX is integrated with the infrastructure of network
services known as the Internet, which today extends beyond the
United States and around the world, with over three million
users worldwide.
With your own PIPEX line installed at your site, utilising
TCP/IP protocols, you can communicate in real time with other
companies or your own offices, across the UK, across the
Atlantic, even around the world: sending and receiving messages
and files, or running interactive software. Distribution and
dealer channels can go online, processing orders, invoices and
shipments electronically, with information available instantly.
All PIPEX leased line services include:
On-site installation of socket and connections by professional engineers
Unlimited network traffic
Routing of all traffic at PIPEX POPs (Points Of Presence)
24-hour support and availability within UK
(Bandwidth to US and elsewhere subject to in situ availability)
PIPEX Worldwide PLUS and PIPEX UK PLUS include:
Specification of the right router for your site
Lease of the router,
Installation and configuration of your router,
24-hour support under a twelve-month rental agreement with PIPEX
(PIPEX Worldwide and PIPEX UK require the subscriber to provide and support
their own router on-site)
PIPEX can also supply technical assistance and consultancy on any related
networking issue.
PIPEX Worldwide PLUS and PIPEX Worldwide enable subscribers to access US
services such as NSFnet (National Science Foundation network) and CIX
(Commercial Internet Exchange), subject to terms of usage, making available
important academic and research material and news services.
