People do that here all the time over dumb serial connections using
packages like MacLayers (it runs on PC's also.)
Also, you've forgotten the original scenario. Are they going to do
this with 32 Macs or PC's sharing one 9600b serial line? That's what
was being proposed.
Or do we now have 32 SLIP lines going into that classroom? And what's
the cost of *that*???
