Ventana Press announces new FTP site: The Electronic Visitors Center
It's always nice to have a "home base" when traveling in strange and foreign
territory. And for Internet adventurers, there is a new way-station offerig
guidance and resources. The Visitors Center, maintained by Michael Fraase,
author of The Internet Tour Guide series from Ventana Press, contains the
latest versions of all
the great Internet shareware and freeware tools discussed in the Tour Guides,
as well as the latest updates, news, tips and tricks for Internet users on
Windows, Mac and DOS platforms.
Current versions of interesting Windows, Mac and DOS programs are available
via anonymous FTP, along with special ReadMe files and other goodies.

Ventana Press publishes of The Windows Internet Tour Guide, The Mac Internet
Tour Guide and The PC Internet Tour Guide. All Tour Guides provide an
introduction to the Internet, a discussion of Internet resources, and
software that gives the Internet a graphical interface. The Windows Internet
Tour Guide disk includes an introductory version of Chameleon.
The Mac Internet Tour Guide disk includes MacTCP, Eudora, Fetch, TurboGopher,
InterSLIP and Stuffit Expander.
The PC Internet Tour Guide disk includes Minuet and UMSLIP.
