MCI is going to be supplying ATM technology to support the vBNS network.
MCI has had how many years of experience with ATM ? MCI has had ATM
switches installed for how long ? Does MCI have ATM switches Installed
on the commercial/production (regular network) ? If so where ? Is the
Northern Telecom deal just to make ATM available to MCI ? Does software
exist that will allow any NT product (ATM) to handle such a network ?
What type of backup circuits will be involved to insure network security ?
The vBNS will be seperate from the regular network but, interconnected.
Interesting. What type of gurantee is being given the NSF that MCI will
deliver a vBNS at anytime soon ?
