Jupiter Communications is one of a very few consulting firms dedicated to
interactive technologies (also a lot of telco stuff).  Look in most
newspaper stories about competitive maneuvering by companies to find Josh
Harris' (president of Jupiter) name quoted as an expert on this stuff. 
Jupiter runs conferences, publishes newsletters and does market research
reports and the like.  They are based in NY.

I don't know who Stephen Chao is.
