Karl,
I am a little confused. CERT in CA-91:20 did recommend two things about
rdist:
1. Install the vendor patches for rdist.
2. Or, chmod 711 rdist
Now, you may wish that CERT say that the vendors are fools and their patches
don't work. While such assertions may be fine coming from you or me, it
probably means something differnt coming from CERT and I much rather Sun
believe in CERT and believe CERT is out to embarrasse them.
