Hi, all! Currently, the only version of MATLAB that will run on
Athena VAX stations is version 3.5. Right now, unfortunately, it is
unavailable, as a mistake was made in the update process to the new
version for the other platforms.
Users attempting to get run 3.5 will get a message something like this:

As part of the upgrade to the new version of MATLAB, the software
package MATLAB 3.5 is temporarily unavailable.
We are working to have it back up and running as soon as possible. In
the meantime, you can run the current version of MATLAB, 4.2, on any
type of Athena workstation except the VAX stations:
add matlab; matlab
