Xess 3 allows 20 Data Sets per plot whereas Version 2 only allows 5 (ie. without hacking). The other attractive thing about Xess 3 is that you combine the different types of plots eg. you can combine line and bar graphs on the same plot,
unlike in Xess 2 where you could only get one graph type on a plot. This will
surely make users happy.
