inc dumped core on a decstation 3100 (podge). I had previously inc'ed with
no problem previously. The only things I have done since then was use
zephyr, discuss, emacs, and perl (to read my mail), all of which I use
normally without problem. In case it matters, the first time inc was done
in my .startup.X file, and the second time I ran it from the shell prompt.

pid 6676 (inc) was killed on an unaligned access, at pc 0x40fe98
Bus error (core dumped)
The core dump is now in /mit/bitbucket/mosquito for all to see.
