It's silly to do it that way, forcing two process invocations and
hesiod lookups when the user has a post office box, which is true in
most cases (yes, the hesiod information is cached, but it's still a
waste).
If it is appropriate to suppress the errors, then it should happen in
the from command, not in the dotfiles.
