the message when a user logs in with a home dir says they'll lose the
mail they incorporate.
but the .mh_profile for a temp dir specifies the -notruncate option to
inc, so this isn't true.
i had to spend 15 minutes with a user today explaining to him that it
was alright for him to login and check the mail that he had to check,
even though his homedir wasn't available.
this was a pain. it was as if he thought that login message was the
word of [insert name of your favorite diety here, if you have one].
please include a more accurate message for logins with temporary
directories.
