Was the window 100x53 to begin with? Are you sure that the
tty knew that?
Sometimes, when you create a window but dont tell it its size, it just
gets confused and thinks its the old size window (or wrong size).
I've also had this problem when I rlogin to a host -- it doesnt get
the right window-size, so things like emacs and other things that
depend on the size go off the screen...
