Well, I suppose if you *MUST*, you should deactivate the ping@athena
account. :) I already have a mailing list that will direct mail for
ping@athena to pshuang@athena, only I temporarily renamed it to ping-tmp
when I started playing with this. Please leave the Kerberos instance
ping@athena.mit.edu intact, though.
You are right, the Registrar's Office used to list me as Pingshun but
has caught on now that I want a hyphen in there. This is still rather
silly, though. I've also been told that it is known that when you change
your MIT ID for some reason, userreg will accept you a second time also.
Which is it checking against current accounts, the ID or the real name?
Also, you might check with honor@athena to see why his friend was able
to run userreg a second time, to see if it's the same cause.
