It seems that the command 'compress' can cause one to lose their files
if they are over quota.  (I assume that this only occurs when they are
very near their hard limit, but I haven't tested it.)  Here is a
suggestion sent to OLC-stock (where we discuss stock answer changes):

I've seen two people in the last three days lose because they tried to
compress files while over quota.  How about if we replace the following
text:

    Note: you should not use the "compress" command if you are already
    overquota.  If this is the case, you might want to copy the file to
    the temporary directory, compress it there, and replace the original
    with the compressed.  To do this, type:


with this:

    WARNING!!!  You must be very careful about using the "compress" command
    if you are already over your quota, or else you risk LOSING YOUR FILES!
    If you are already over yor quota, you must use the following method to
    compress your files.

		     ------------------------------

Under no circumstances should 'compress' cause the user to lose their
files.
