What were you trying to do?
Kill my X server.
What's wrong:
I sent it a HUP signal, and all of my windows went away, but
the X server hung (the cursor wouldn't move, but the
backgrounds were still on the screens). I logged in remotely
and sent it another HUP signal, with no effect. I then sent
it a TERM signal, again with no effect. I then sent it a KILL
signal and it finally went away.
What should have happened:
The server should have exited successfully when it received
the first HUP.
