What were you trying to do?
Put up a window from ajax on pit-manager's display, after
doing "xhost ajax" on pit-manager.
What's wrong:
The window wouldn't come up -- the clients on ajax said that
they could not connect to the display.
What should have happened:
The window should have come up on pit-manager's display
correctly.
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
When I ran "xhost" on the display that wasn't allowing
connection, it listed only "AJAX.MIT.EDU". Now that I've
killed the X server and logged in again and xhosted ajax
again, it lists:
AJAX.MIT.EDU
PIT-MANAGER.MIT.EDU
127.0.0.1
I've noticed this happen before. I have a sneaking suspicion
that the problem had something to do with sockets getting
deleted from /tmp, but I checked, and /tmp/.X11-unix was there
and had X0 in it.
