Why does RCP between my 6.0 RT and my 6.0 vax say Principal Unknown?

In trying to do rcp between two machines in my office, both of which I
am logged in to, both of which I have valid Kerberos tickets for, both
of which I have local directories on(!), I get the following:
oglala% rcp -p grader_tutor88.* osage:/u1/exchange/doc
Kerberos rcp failed: Principal unknown (kerberos).
trying normal rcp (/bin/rcp.ucb)
WHY?
