What were you trying to do?
I tried to make Maple compute limit(t(z),z=1/2,left) for the function
t(z) = (1/8 + z/2 + z^2 + 2*z^3 + 2*z^4)^(1/2) + (2*z^4+z^3-(z^2)/2 - z/4)/((1/16 - (z^2)/2 + z^4)^(1/2)).
What's wrong:
It said that the limit from the left was 2, and it's not. The limit from the left is 0, and the limit from the right is 2.
What should have happened:
It should either have said that it was unable to find the limit from the left or given the answer 0.
