Doing:
emacs -nw -f server-start
on an RS/6000 (m11-115-5, model 320H). No esrv.$uid is created in /tmp,
although discuss can somehow get the information to Emacs. Once done
typing my info in (in the shunted discuss buffer), I do "C-x #", which
pops the buffer to the bottom of the list, and supposedly sends the info
off.
However, discuss never gets the signal, and so is always "Waiting for
Emacs...", which is useless.
On two instances, restarting the server (M-x server-start, after one is
running), and then Control-z (this is emacs -nw, exactly same status as
before), I get "Server subprocess killed", and then on one of those two
tries, emacs died.
Curious.
