Use some of the library functions listed in "man 3f intro"
What's wrong:
A number of the functions listed are undefined at link, and are not
defined in any of the Fortran libraries. These include
besj0 bessel.3f Returns real*4 bessel function (k:1, o:0).

besjn bessel.3f Returns real*4 bessel function (k:1, o:n).

three guesses:
a) the man pages are wrong, no such functions exist
b) the man pages are right, but the functions are not installed
c) the man pages are partially right, but the functions are not installed
in a library that is used by default.
