Read the System Release Notes in OLH
It should be ok now... I reformatted it on a DECstation.
Until now, we had to avoid the RS/6000 because it would generate a dvi
file that would cause xdvi to die in the manner you described. The last
edition was formatted on a VAX, so it indicates that there is a more
general problem.
