In both the System Release notes and the User Release notes:
- Section 2.5 in the User Release notes, and
- Section 2.3 in the System Release notes:
The default user path is described as being:
(/srvd/patch /usr/athena etc...)
This is not quite technically correct. The path shown is the value
of $athena_path, but the default user path is:
($HOME/$bindir $athena_path .)

In the User Release notes (these comments are based on the draft of
8/12, I haven't seen a draft since then, so these may or may not be
quite right anymore):
- Section 2.1, last paragraph, last sentence:
"It herefore" should be "It therefore"
- Section 2.3, last para:
"...not enough time to review all the SIPB binaries from explicit
pathname dependencies." -- this sentence makes no sense.
- Section 2.6, second para:
"minimize" should be "minimizes".
- Section 2.7:
"check_all" should be "check_dotfiles", and it is available now.
- 2.7, second bulletted item:
"...such as XFILESEARCHPATH" -- and MANPATH
- 2.7, last para, last sentence:
"man Imake" should be "man imake"
- New item:
It should be documented that mwm looks differently in this release
compared to last release. The active window is highlighted by a dark
border, and the inactive windows are highlighted with a lighter gray
color. In past releases, the active window had a white border and
inactive windows had a dark gray border. The new defaults improve the
3d look of mwm, and make the active window stand out more for those who
do not use reverse-video (reverse-video is *not* the default for Athena
windows).
