Actually, it is correct... NEVER ctrl-c any update as it can leave the
machine in an inconsistent state.  

I recommend editing /etc/athena/version by hand and removing the last
line.  However, now you must also make sure that you can still access
most software.  I also recommend checking the contents of
/site/server/.services to make sure it still has the word remote in
it.

Basically, if an update gets interrupted, it generally requires assistance
from someone (in other words call Operations).

The nature of an update is that it can render the machine entirely unusable
at times during the update.  Maybe there is a way to entirely trap ctrl-c,
but I am somewhat mixed about doing this.  Personally, I use ctrl-c a lot,
but then again, I know how to clean up in any enventuality.
