That sentence does not follow... "default subscriptions" as I
said, are the ones that the *server* hands you when you make any
subscription attempt; there is a different opcode for a subscription
message which doesn't force you to have them. They are not *in* your
subscriptions file - if they were, they wouldn't be defaults.
