What were you trying to do?

What's wrong:

My xsession got as far as starting zwgc, and eventually I got the
following message:

15:08 zwgc: Connection timed out while setting location

Then, nothing happend. I wait, and nothing continued to happen; the
load on the machine was 0. I logged in remotely to find that zwgc was
the only thing running (besides my xsession) so it looks like it was
waiting for something before it would background itself, but that
something never happened. I sent it a SIGTERM and got

15:08 zwgc: Interrupted system call while subscribing

at which point it kept waiting. A couple minutes later I killed it
again, got

15:13 zwgc: Interrupted system call while subscribing

again, but then the rest of my login proceeded; interestingly, after
the second kill, I still had a zwgc process but with a different pid
(I guess that means it forked and backgrounded itself?).

What should have happened:

zwgc should not wait forever without backgrounding itself.
