System name: frumious-bandersnatch
Type and version:	RTPC-ROMPC 7.2R
Display type: apa16

What were you trying to do?
	Compile a program I ftp'ed from export.lcs.mit.edu

What's wrong:
hc is quite picky about many aspects of code. I have found few
packages that 'hc' will compile without any modification. Being that I
do not want to spend all my waking hours rewriting programs I get over
the network, I have found hc -Hpcc to be extremely useful. I have solved
this problem to my own satisfaction, but the man page section describing
this option strikes me as entirely too intimidating and jargonistic for
the extemely useful effect of this option.

What should have happened:
Alias the -Hpcc to -doit and/or -shutup. This is a description
that is very quickly comprehensible and much more readily conveys
its critical effect where the user is concerned.

Please describe any relevant documentation references:
	hc(1)
