What were you trying to do?
Use the enscript command to print a document, and hoping to utilize
the flags set in the LPROPT environment variable.
What's wrong:
The LPROPT environment variable is supposed to be applied to lpr
AND to enscript. Mine is set to "-h -z". No problem with lpr, however,
enscript still sends a header page, even though I still get zephyr
notification when it is done. In addition, another consultant
verified this:
Just tested this. My LPROPT is:
navigator% printenv LPROPT
-h -z -a24746
It took the -z (and zwrote me, which isn't my normal setup), but printed
out the header page and also charged it to MY account (GRUMBLE).
What should have happened:
Clearly, there should not have been a header page in either case,
and the latter example should have used the given account number.
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
Athena 7.2 Release Information (at least, I believe so...)
enscript man page (out of date)
NOTE: If enscript is NOT supposed to use the LPROPT variable, then
it is still a bug, since the "-z" should not have been processed.
