What were you trying to do?
Get new tickets with kinit.
What's wrong:
(1) I typed "kinit vanharen" in one window and then went back to
one of my other windows. Then I came back to the kinit window,
and typed my password. However, it appears that I waited too
long, and kinit barfed. Apparently, it gets a timestamp or
something when it is initializing, but if you wait more than
five minutes before typing your password, you lose, with the
error:
kinit: Time is out of bounds (krb_rd_req)
(2) the manpage for kinit talks about "toehold", and references
the toehold manpage, neither of which exist anymore.
What should have happened:
(1) It should wait until you've actually typed your password
before getting whatever timestamp it needs.
(2) the manpage should be fixed.
