What were you trying to do?
login to PAL17
What's wrong:
The "Press any key" message was up. I pressed a key, and the xlogin
window appeared. However, the only thing in the form widget besides
some rectangular outlines was a pair of blinking eyes (without the rest
of the owl, that is!)
Eventually (after 1/2 minute or so) the rest of the text appeared.
I let the "Press any key" message reappear and then hit a key again.
This time everything was there, except the owl was *furiously* blinking.
I logged in as root; no one else was there, and the load was normal.
What should have happened:
The owl and the widget should have done the right thing (although it
was kind of cute the way it was). It works fine now, though.
