*I can't create an emacs window wider than my screen.
*Why this is a problem:
It is difficult to create wide charts and tables. (And yes, you could
print them using enscript.) Using the 6x10 font is not a viable
alternative for long periods of time.
*Emacs info:
according to "GNU Emacs NEWS", it is version 18.50
