  It doesn't sound like a bug to me. It sounds like the previous user
of the workstation clicked on the xlogout button but forgot to click
the "Yes" button, and therefore stayed logged in until his tickets had
expired and his mappings to his locker had also expired.

   Hi Jonathan! Is there still a problem with logout failing? I got the
   following message from a person in OLC this morning:

   ================

   The machine is w20-575-12. When I first came upon it it had a blank
   screen except for a floating "x", i.e. the screen that comes up when
   you haven't typed anything for awhile. When I hit return, the screen
   came back and the logout window was on the screen (Are you sure you want
   to logout?). I typed "ls" to see if the kerberos tickets had been
   destroyed and they had -- the machine said "permission denied, type kinit
   to get new tickets". I typed "logout" to the athena prompt and the
   machine is now waiting for someone to login.

   ================

   I think that maybe it was just being slow to logout, not that logout
   was failing. I figured that I should report it anyhow, in case I am
   mistaken about the "logout" problem having been fixed.

				   Thanks!

					   Carla
