vax 7.2P: login failed, reboot errors

What were you trying to do?
I was trying to login.
What's wrong:
I hit the space bar - nothing happened. I hit about 20
different keys, to make sure it wasn't just that the space bar had
failed. Still nothing happened.
I rebooted the machine. While watching the reboot, it said
that the time was off by more than 4 days.. It also found and
corrected several errors while doing fsck, and rebooted itself. The
second time through fsck it found and corrected at least 2 more
errors. I wish I could tell you what they were, but the descriptions
it gave were meaningless to me, and scrolled off before I could write
them down. After the second reboot it worked correctly.
What should have happened:
It should have given me a login window.
