This evening (10/31) at about 22:17, I encountered the following
strange response when trying to login to my RT workstation from my
home PC:
16> telnet ne43-513-2
MIT Project Athena (NE43-513-2)
login: Saltzer
password:
Kerberos: Generic Error: get_intkt
login:
When I responded to the second invitation to login, that login was
successful. There were no problems noted in /usr/adm/messages. A
check of the RT clock indicated that it was about 3 seconds behind
Kerberos.mit.edu. I do not recall ever having seen this particular
message before.
Jon: does the Kerberos log show anything unusual for 10/31 22/17?
Or maybe when it is late on a Halloween evening, events like this are
considered normal?
