Hello.

Since the sendbug program is a royal pain to use over dialup, I'm
going to try my best to mimic what sendbug does....

MACHINE NAME: tabetha.mit.edu
MACHINE TYPE: pvax
RELEASE: 7.1H (the one that's currently out in the field)

I have logged into tabetha over 2400 baud (from tortelini (sp?))

1) brief description of the problem:

In my startup.tty file, I try to run calendar. When calendar runs,
instead of looking up the dates in my included files and printing
the information (like it did 2 days ago), I get the following message:

egrep: regluar expression too long

This happened to me last night as well. Calendar worked the last time
I logged into a machine using an X display (which was Thursday) and it
worked over dialup a couple of days ago.... What's going on?? Did
someone muck with the calendar script??

2) what should it do:

calendar should work as it always had.

3) describe any relavent documentation:

calendar man page
