If make discovers an input line that is too long it blows out with the message:
Line too long.
Without ever telling what the line number was that failed.
Interestingly, I had two long lines, I shortened the first one and all
was well.
(The second line was longer than the line I shortened, so I suspect
there may be a problem with a line being exactly a certain length.)
I'll see about sending along a makefile that fails, but I's sort of
swamped with code cut crunch.
