Suppose I type "rm *", then type '\', '<RETURN>'. If I use CTRL-C to
attempt to abort the command, it is as if I typed <RETURN> after '*':
the shell runs the command. If I didn't know about this bug, CTRL-C
would be the first thing I would do in this situation. I would not be
pleased with the results.
