The Scribe database bugs I reported in [3400] (arguable bug) and [3554]
have not been fixed, nor have received or seen any comments about why
they should not be.
As far as I can tell, [3400] never made it into the bug database; I
don't know why. I just added it. If you could provide a context diff
of the font files that need to be changed, it would help us quite a
bit.
As for [3554], the bug was filed in our database, and reported to
scribe. Their response was, "We're looking into it." I took no
further action because I was waiting to see what they would say. Once
again, context diffs would be helpful.
The Scribe thesis bug about the list of figures I reported in bugs
[3946] has not been fixed, although for a while Ezra was trying to fix
it but wasn't sure how to audit it.
Half of your bug report was fixed, the other was not. I don't know
why that happened, and I have resubmitted the half of your fix that
wasn't installed and asked the release engineering people to install
it. There isn't anything else I can do.
This is moderately annoying. Consulting gets questions from real users
who run across these bugs. It uses our time and frustrates users, when
often all that is needed is a one or two line fix.
Yes, I know. The problem is, there are thousands of "one or two line
fixes" throughout the system waiting to be made, and that means that
we have to prioritize, and scribe isn't too high on the priority list,
especially since it's being phased out.
For each one of these bugs, I specifically described what needed to be
fixed. For the thesis templates, I even submitted context diffs. If
there something else I can give you to expidite these fixes, please let
me know? I would really like to see these fixed in the next release
(7.0x?). Thanks,
The context diffs I mentioned above would be helpful.
These changes will not make it into 7.0; they may make it into 7.0,
though.
