System name: MICKEY-MOUSE
Type and version:	MVAX-II 7.0E
Display type: QVSS

*What were you trying to do?

Check on a user's quota by doing:

	quota -v uid

as root on my workstation.

*What's wrong:

It displayed the headers for the columns, but no numbers:

MICKEY-MOUSE# quota -v 31899
Disk quotas for user (no account) (uid 31899):
Filesystem usage quota limit timeleft files quota limit timeleft
MICKEY-MOUSE#

*What should have happened:

It should either have displayed the quota, or given me the "permission
denied" message mentioned in the man page.

*Please describe any relevant documentation references:

From the man page for quota:

OPTIONS
-v Without a username or user id after the -v, this option
will display usages and limits for the user and any
groups the user is a member of on all mounted file sys-
          tems where quotas exist.

With a username or UID, this option will display usages
and limits for the given user on locally mounted file
systems running user quotas. If the user is not the
super-user, then he can specify only his own username
here or else get a 'permission denied' error.

===========================

(FYI -- I tried it on a 6.4 machine just to make sure that it wasn't a
problem with the fileserver, and that worked okay)

			Thanks!
