scribe v.6 and database files

It seems that Scribe v.6 won't use database files in the current
directory unless explicitly directed to do so via an @use(database
"...") command.
1) is this documented in the release notes?
2) where can I get a copy of the release notes/manual updates?
3) I also find that the database name must end in a / for things to
work. Is this documented, also?
