What were you trying to do?
Beep the X display from within zwgc without putting up a
windowgram.
What's wrong:
As far as I can tell, it can't be done -- the beep by itself
produces a tiny windowgram. The best I could do was to send
the beep to the tty port instead, but that makes the console
pop up and puts lots of garbage in it.
What should have happened:
Since "beep" was a command in the old zwgc, it was possible to
beep without putting up a windowgram. Similar functionality
should be incorporated into the new zwgc.
