psroff -Ffontdir only passes the font director to ditroff, not to
psdit, so after troff'ing, the psdit fails.
This is fixed in the transcript-v2.1 directory.

PS. Why I care: the feature is useful when importing documentation
from sites which have a different font set than we do (can you say
device independent? Nope, I didn't think so...) and correcting it with
symlink farms. (The specific situation was the TA font, which was used
to highlight code samples; symlinking in C (courier) is sufficient...)
