Something in the mail system -- I assume it is not on the receiving
side, but could be in client programs, sendmail on workstations,
sendmail on athena, whereever -- seems to like treating names not
separated with commas as name-hostname pairs for reformatting,
although the delivery works okay. (At least, I assume that this is
the effect.)
