} There are two things about it I don't understand:
} -- the difference between the first and second responses, and
} -- the difference between the first and third responses.
Immediately after sending the previous note, I discovered that the
answer to #2 above is probably that my kerberos tickets expired in the
10 seconds between typing those two commands. Wow.
