Question:
My problem is that I've tried to create a .environment file or .log in. mine
file as directed in the athena Help section so that I won't have to type the hu
ge string of characters needed to read my newsfiles every time I want to read th
em. I've followed the format as shown in the "athena help" it doesn't work the
way it is supposed to. When I had this in an environment file:
# Attach the sipb locker
attach sipb
set path = ( appropriate stuff here )
All that woudl happen when I logged in was that I would automatically follw the
attach sipb command but ignore the set path command and I would have to type th
is in myself in order to use the 'rrn' command.
Putting this in a file called .login.mine did absolutely zero. WHat is the pro
blem???
You Know the Help section really SUCKS. This is the second time I've tried to
follow the directions given therein and the second time the direction have not
worked because they are so damn obtuse. This is not a user friendly system by a
long shot!!!
By the way, how can I attach the games locker?
