(I don't know if this problem relates only to AFS and not to NFS.)
My home directory was recently moved to AFS-land at my request. I was
using xmh (under mwm) and my afs tokens had expired. I wanted to move a mail
message from my inbox to another folder . . . when I clicked on the 'move' box,
xmh immediately bombed, and I got an afs error message in the console window
(sorry, I didn't note the error message). I have not seen this behavior under
NFS when my Kerberos tickets had expired.
