Try the following:
start a program which will pull up a window in a few seconds
select a menu with C-M-right button (or anything else
requiring modifier keys and mouse buttons), near the
middle of the screen
wait for the window to come up
The results I got:
* The window displaying the size of the position and geometry of the
new window (bug#1: i am never told the name of the window I am
positioning) obscured part of the menu; the menu was never redrawn,
even when I moved the mouse through that part later. (The boxes did
highlight, but the text didn't come back.)
* After I placed the window (which was the only thing I could do), I
had to get the same combination of keys and buttons in order to get
the menu to respond again.
