I waited a while after I got the xlogin window (waiting for eurydice to
come back up). Then I gave my username and password. The screen cleared, the
console window appeared, I turned away from my workstation for a moment, and
when I turned back (literally seconds later) my screen had the "Hit any key
to activate" prompt, and nothing else.
I *think* I may have hit the 5 minute timeout. However, this should not
happen during the login sequence.
