Thanks for taking the time to report your problem.  Despite your claim
to the contrary, I suspect that less experienced users won't have
passwords longer than the Nile and (thus) won't run into this problem.
Nevertheless, there are several inconsistencies with Athena password
lengths (did you know that <when new users register for their Athena
account> they can only specify a password which has up to nine
characters in it?)

Anyway, we are looking into making this treatment of passwords more
consistent; in the meantime, I suggest you save yourself some time and
use a password of twenty characters or less.
