CRONOS.MIT.EDU VAX 6.3B AFS (almost completely standard)

xlogin just went into a spin-dry loop on me...
Symptoms:
I hid my console window (shrank it and obscured it under a
window). A couple hours later, I noticed that my machine
was acting sluggish and then discovered that xlogin was
in run-mode and quickly eating up my CPU time. Of course,
I don't know how many messages came into my console window,
but now the console window was completely blank (no text
appeared even where the Hide button should exist).

Status of AFS packs:
The AFS packs are running the next-to-last version of xlogin,
I believe. The only change made in the last version was to
solve the xterm utmp problem and would have no effect on what
	I just experienced. <sigh>
