Hi -
I'm sorry if I came off as a jerk in my bug report. First of all let me say how awesome Debathena is. Then let me tell you that I am very interested in joining SIPB; I'm doing Interphase right now, but it'll be over by the 19th. I have been checking out how to install Debathena on my PC, which I successfully managed to do by installing Ubuntu X86-64 edition and then installing the Debathena packages. I had tried installing from the live CD, but I wanted to take full advantage of the 64 bit architecture that my laptop offers. I have my local administrator account and then I log on to Debathena using my Kerberos account. I have local programs installed on my local account that I can access in my Debathena account, but I have wanted to use Compiz Fusion on my Debathena account without affecting the Debathena server. I have a theory: I believe that since i'm accessing an X11 server then I can't alter the native graphic environment set up on the MIT X11 server. Is this t!
rue, or is there a way that I can use Compiz Fusion on Debathena without messing up your system?

Subject: Re: Debathena: Graphics Drivers

Hi -
I'm afraid you're going to have to give us some more information
about what you were trying to do.

What specific tasks did you use to try and "activate the graphics
drivers"? Was there some sort of popup prompting you to do so, or was
this a menu item or program you launched yourself?

What did you do afterwards, and why did you conclude that the drivers
didn't activate?

Thanks,
 - Evan
